- Own the retrieval, indexing, and ranking layer that feeds AI answer generation.
- Define and defend retrieval tradeoffs across precision, recall, coverage, noise, speed, and accuracy.
- Set the strategy, vision, and roadmap for answer quality and retrieval quality.
- Lead complex cross-functional execution from planning through launch and continuous improvement.
- Measure product success using quantitative and qualitative signals, and drive experimentation to improve outcomes.
- Partner with engineering, data science, UX, marketing, sales, legal, and customers to deliver high-quality AI products.
Required Skills
Product management for retrieval, search, indexing, or ranking systemsHands-on experience with LLM/AI products that synthesize answersRAG or equivalent retrieval-driven answer generation understandingAbility to measure and improve answer quality and retrieval qualitySpec-level technical collaboration with engineeringExperience with professional or enterprise users with high accuracy requirementsSource attribution, explainability, and caveat logicEnd-to-end ownership of complex products or platformsStrong commercial judgement and systems thinkingCross-functional leadership in ambiguous, matrixed environments
