- Own and scale Oportun's internal data products and lead the Gen AI analytics initiative.
- Define the roadmap for OportunResearch, including agentic capabilities and human-in-the-loop workflows.
- Own the product strategy for core data products including Merlin, Cosmos, and the HITL platform.
- Partner with analytics engineering to strengthen the semantic layer, metric definitions, and data certification.
- Drive adoption, measurable impact, and self-service usage across analysts, finance, risk, and executive stakeholders.
Required Skills
6-10+ years of product management experience3+ years focused on data products, analytics platforms, or AI/ML systemsExperience shipping data-intensive products in complex enterprise environmentsExperience working with data engineering, analytics engineering, and/or ML engineering teamsFamiliarity with the modern data stackAbility to read SQLUnderstanding of data modeling conceptsUnderstanding of LLMsUnderstanding of RAG patternsUnderstanding of agentic AI conceptsStrong product discovery skillsAbility to write clear product requirementsExperience defining and tracking metricsAbility to manage competing prioritiesAbility to influence without authorityClear written and verbal communicationComfort presenting to executives
