- Own the discovery, definition, and delivery of In Person Payments capabilities across SoftPOS and physical hardware terminals.
- Maintain the In Person Payments roadmap and define product strategy aligned to the embedded payments vision.
- Lead merchant, partner, and stakeholder discovery; write PRDs, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Drive delivery with globally distributed engineering squads and manage dependencies with schemes, acquirers, and hardware vendors.
- Own commercial relationships, pricing, GTM motion, and hardware inventory planning for terminal growth.
- Embed AI tools into the product lifecycle to accelerate synthesis, drafting, analysis, and team productivity.
Required Skills
3-6 years of product management experienceAt least 2 years in payments, fintech, or financial servicesExperience with In Person Payments, SoftPOS (Android/iOS Tap to Pay), POS hardware, or payment terminalsStrong understanding of payment flows: authorisation, settlement, reconciliation, and chargebacksExperience with payment schemes (Visa / Mastercard / local schemes) and acquirer/processor integrationsAbility to write high-quality PRDs, run discovery, and drive outcomes through cross-functional squadsStrong analytical skills with SQL, BI tools, or product analytics platformsHands-on proficiency with AI productivity tools (Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, Notion AI, or equivalent)Commercial acumen and experience negotiating SLAs or commercial termsComfortable working in a globally distributed team across time zones

Experience managing vendor relationships and cryptographic key management for payment terminalsHardware inventory management and terminal lifecycle experienceFamiliarity with hardware GTM models such as outright sale, rental, and terminal-as-a-serviceExperience with embedded payments, platform/marketplace payments, or vSaaS monetisation modelsFamiliarity with PCI-DSS, EMV standards, and payment certification processesBackground working with SaaS or platform companies that embed payments into vertical softwareExperience shipping in agile/scrum environments with distributed engineering teams
